Hamline was cool. My wife conducted a seminar there and it is a really nice facility. Her company ordered too much food so we gave the box lunches that were left to a few kids and the campus police. All were really nice and again the facility was pretty cool.

We brought our daughter to take a look at your school. She will not be attending there. Part of learning is the ability to think critically even on topic that are uncomfortable. That is the point of higher education After the reports of thowing a professor under the bus for religious conformity. This lack of character on behalf of the administrators will ultimately bleed over to other areas of the school. You should do better and you will not be getting my money.

Zero transparency about the program and course offerings. You can only view courses offered prior to last summer. They want your personal information and application dollars before even disclosing if the professional development courses you need are offered. You either volunteer to get spammed by them forever, give up an evening to attend a session, or take a day off to visit campus.

The economics of higher education are broken along many vectors. Tuition, obviously. But also the ballooning of administrative staff, which has put downward pressure on wages for faculty. Which has made adjuncts—who are underpaid, fire-at-will serfs—increasingly attractive to institutions.

I don't actually attend the school myself but I spent quite some time there sometimes multiple times a day. Why you might ask I was a delivery driver for Jimmy John's which is very popular among students there considering location I would imagine so like I said I was there at least two times a shift up to five or six one night. And out of all the times I got stiffed on a tip or from hamline University I know it's not the school's fault but I'm bored Plus getting stiff really grinds my gears

This "educational institute" supports individuals who refuse to assimilate the American culture. Sending your kids to this place is like sending them to some radical medieval cult

Nice campus... Didn't like the fact they were trying to push a critical race theory book in orientation also pushing the use of pronouns. dorm rooms are very small the one dorm building we took a tour of did not have AC. Also not in the best neighborhood. Seems like they're trying to push a "woke "agenda.. needless to say after the $400 deposit they require and spending about $700 to come down 9 hour drive for my son to sign up and attend the school....they changed our mind and we won't let our son attend. Save your time and go to a state college or tech

I have some very mixed opinions about my time studying at Hamline University. At the core, the business operations of the university, the quality of student services, and the value for money are poor at best. If you think you might need access to disability services beyond the legally mandated minimum offerings, cross this school off your list. If you're hoping to be employable after graduating, and want useful assistance from a career services center, good luck. This private university will nickle and dime you for everything, and provide very little in return. The vast majority of alumni and former students I stay in contact refer to this place as "Scamline University" for a reason. I left with some great memories and connections with other students, faculty, and staff, and am thankful for that. However - major restructuring of the University, including the firing and replacement of all administrative employees, is necessary before I can recommend others waste 4 years of their life and commit to decades of debt for the empty promises offered here.
